FAQ
Which programs can be covered with a Bildungsgutschein?
All our programs are certified and registered with the Arbeitsagentur. You can use a Bildungsgutschein to participate in any of our paths, and you may even complete multiple courses with approval from your agent.
I’m a student, can I participate using a Bildungsgutschein?
It is not possible to receive funding from the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter as a student, to be eligible to register at the Arbeitsagentur or Jobecenter and to receive a Bildungsgutschein, you have to be unemployed, soon to be, or in a short-time work situation.
Do I need an academic degree or prior knowledge to apply?
No. No prior knowledge in a particular field of study is required to apply. We’ve learned that this is not necessarily the best indicator of success and instead we look for candidates who are motivated, with grit, determination, and aptitude, regardless of previous knowledge or experience. However, in order to excel in Masterschool’s programs, you will need basic computer literacy skills, and at least a high school level of mathematics, be comfortable learning in English and be comfortable working in a digital environment with technical tools and with numbers.
Will you help me find a job?
We do everything necessary to help you find a job. While we will help you find job opportunities and network, we will not place you in a job.
Our career support includes workshops, personal mentorship, global hiring partners, which include the world’s best tech companies, and much more.
Even after you’re hired, we will continue to support you. If you need help with finding a new job, a salary negotiation, asking for a promotion or anything else, we are here to help you. Our ultimate goal is that you continue to succeed beyond your first job in tech, and we see ourselves as long term partners.
What language are the studies held in?
We are excited to offer programs in both German and English!
Depending on the program, participants can complete their training—including instructional classes, learning materials, campus communication, and presentations—fully in German or fully in English.
For students studying in German, English proficiency is not required. However, please note that external certification exams are only available in English. To support German-speaking students, we offer an internal alternative certification in German.
With this dual-language approach, we ensure that all students receive high-quality training while preparing for a successful career in tech.

Our programs are online and flexible, allowing students to study at their preferred time. Although flexible, they are intensive enough to prepare students well for their new career and get them job-ready in a relatively short amount of time.
We offer extra help and private sessions with academic instructors for students who need a bit more support.

Aside from self-paced learning, coding exercises or labs, quizzes, and projects, each program offers weekly live lectures with today’s experts. Live lectures allow students to learn interactively, ask questions in real time, and study with a real class. Live sessions are always recorded and available for those who prefer learning alone or are unable to attend the session live.
24/7 support
Masterschool is designed with layers of support so that you never feel alone or overwhelmed. Each program offers live sessions, study halls, and active chatrooms so that you are always able to ask academic questions in real time. Whether it’s your peers, instructors, or your Mentor, there is always someone to turn to for help.
1:1 mentoring
Throughout your time at Masterschool, you will be mentored by experienced industry experts, with regular 1:1 meetings. These industry professionals have years of experience and will be able to guide you both academically and professionally. During the Career Accelerator, you will share your interview experiences and get personalized feedback and tips from your mentor.
Career accelerator
Once you have completed your technical training, you enter the Career Accelerator, where your focus shifts to finding your first job in your new field.
In addition to career coaching and services, the Career Accelerator offers advanced training and content, so you continue to polish your technical skills and remain an ideal candidate that employers will want to hire.

Our team helps you polish your resume and social profiles, highlighting your accomplishments and skills, and adding keywords recruiters are looking for and relevant to your dream job.

Mock interviews
As a candidate, you will be interviewing with both professionals who will evaluate your technical skills and HR personnel who will gauge your general fit for the company. We prepare you for both types of interviews with mock questions and interview simulations, so you feel comfortable and confident wowing them with your skills.

Whether you are trying to negotiate a salary, secure a new position or work towards a promotion, as a Masterschool student or graduate, we are always here to help you.
